establishing the New Covenant Passover the night before His crucifixion.
In this painting, the disciples are sitting together on either side of Jesus.
On the table, there are bread and a cup of wine.
However, there is a little-known story behind this painting.
In the painting, Jesus' hands are positioned on the table.
However, in the first completed painting,
it is said that a cup was held in Jesus' right hand.
The original is quite different from the picture we know today.
