The Bible says that there will be many refinements and tests until we enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Bible says that those who overcome these refinements have greater worth than gold and they will receive praise, glory, and honor from God in heaven.
These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.1 Peter 1:7
Saints who went through hardships with joy
As Jesus said 2,000 years ago, “Take your cross and follow Me,”
the early Church saints took their own cross and were refined in faith, rejoicing always
and giving thanks in all circumstances.
It is because the suffering we go through on this earth cannot be compared with the glory
that we will receive in heaven.
