The Festival of Unleavened Bread embodies the spirit of sacrifice, devotion, and love
of Christ who sacrificed Himself in order to save mankind who sinned in heaven.
We should commemorate the Festival of Unleavened Bread,
with the intent to repent of our sins through the crucifixion and life of Christ,
and to joyfully partake in His suffering.
God came to this earth for the salvation of mankind, yet even Peter, known for his faith, Judas Iscariot, and the other disciples all committed grievous actions in the sight of God.
Learning from God’s love, who did not despise such sinners but had compassion on them,
we now must walk the path of faith bearing our own cross.
“But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.”
Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.
Matthew 26:56
Then Jesus said to his disciples,
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves
and take up their cross and follow me.”
Matthew 16:24
